I make these cookies for the guests at our B&B and they love them, so I put the recipe on our website, www.frostyhollowbandb,com. I also won a blue ribbon for them at the county fair.

Ingredients

butter
1 1/2 c
granulated sugar
1 1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed

eggs
1 Tbsp
pure vanilla extract
4 1/2 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
salt
5 c
chocolate chips
2 c
coconut
1 c
toasted almonds, slivered

How to Make Almond Joy Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream together the butter and both sugars till light and fluffy with an electric mixer. Add vanilla and beat, adding the eggs in 1 at a time.
  • 2Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add the dry mixture to the creamed ingredients slowly and mix well.
  • 3Add the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds and mix in gently, but well.
  • 4Place on a lined or greased cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls or with a cookie scoop and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 11-13 minutes, according to your oven.
