I love to bake. 1 of the first things I learned to bake was a sugar cookie. Now I have recipes from a simple sugar cookie to fancy holiday cookies. I think the end of every long work or school week or even day can be mae better with a cookie.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1 package baker's semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup raisins

Step 1Preheat the oven to 375F. Then beat the butter & sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add in the egg 7 mix well.

Step 2Then add in the flour, oats,nbaking soda & cinnamon. Beat on low speed just until belnded. Then stir in the chocolate & raisins.

Step 3Drop a level tablespoonfuls of the dough onto a ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

Step 4Bake for about 9 mins or until lightly browned. Cool on the cookie sheet for about 2 mins. Then remove & place on a wire rack. Cool completely. Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature.

Step 5Special Tip: You may use 1- 1/2 cups BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks in place of the chopped chocolate.
