sugar free german chocolate brownies

Since I do not eat sugar and I was longing for something German chocolate I came up with this recipe. These brownies taste so good and rich you can't tell they're sugar free. Great with milk or coffee!

  • 1 box
    sugar free pilsbury brownie mix
  • 1 1/2 bag
    sugar free hersey chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    unsweetened flaked coconut
  • 1/2 c
    sugar free smuckers caramel topping for ice cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    heavy cream

    Mix brownies according to box directions. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, cocoa powder, maple syrup, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and walnuts. Combine

    Bake according to box directions. Remove from oven and let cool.

    Spread the smuckers caramel sauce over brownies, then add the flaked coconut. If the brownies are still warm that's ok as it helps the caramel spread easier.

    In a microwave safe bowl put 1 cup of the sugar free hersey chocolate chips with 3 or 4 tablespoons of cream. heat for 30 seconds at a time and stir in between until chips are melted and combined with cream. It should be a creamy spreadable consistency. Pour over brownies and spread evenly. Let them set for a few minutes. These are so delicious!
