Ingredients For snowcapped brownies
- BROWNIES:

1 cbutter, cubed

3/4 ccocoa powder
-
4 lgeggs
-
2 csugar
-
1 tsppure vanilla extract

1 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
2 csemi-sweet chocolate chips (16 oz.)

1 cnuts, chopped, your choice, optional
- FROSTING:

4 oz. pkgcream cheese, room temperature (1/2 - 8 oz. pkg.)

1 1/2 cmilk, cold, divided
-
1 pkgvanilla instant pudding (3.4 oz.)

1/4 tspalmond extract
-
1 1/2 ccool whip
- TOPPING:
-
caramel ice cream topping
-
chocolate curls
How To Make snowcapped brownies

1In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in cocoa until smooth. Remove from the heat. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugar & vanilla for 1 minute. Gradually add flour & salt. Stir in cocoa mixture. Fold in chocolate chips & nuts, if desired.

2Pour into a greased 13 x 9" baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 - 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not over bake). Cool on a wire rack.

3In a large bowl, beat cream cheese & 1/2 C milk until smooth. Add pudding mix & remaining milk; beat for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in extract; fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate until set.

4Just before serving, drizzle with caramel topping & garnish with chocolate curls if desired.
