This is my daughter's recipe. She loves anything with cherries. I made it easier with the cherry pie filling. It's so yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup fat-free milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can lite cherry pie filling (21 oz)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

How To Make shara's cherry chocolate cobbler

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 2-quart casserole pan with cooking spray. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and butter.

    Mix until crumbly.
  • Step 3
    In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the chocolate until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Place melted chocolate in a large bowl. Add milk and egg. Mix well.
  • Step 5
    Combine flour and chocolate.
  • Step 6
    Mix until combined.
  • Step 7
    Spread pie filling in the bottom of the casserole pan.
  • Step 8
    Drop the chocolate batter by tablespoons over the filling.
  • Step 9
    Sprinkle with nuts.

    Bake 40 minutes.

    The top should be light golden brown.
