shara's cherry chocolate cobbler

This is my daughter's recipe. She loves anything with cherries. I made it easier with the cherry pie filling. It's so yummy!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup fat-free milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 can lite cherry pie filling (21 oz)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
How To Make shara's cherry chocolate cobbler

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 2-quart casserole pan with cooking spray. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and butter.

Step 2Mix until crumbly.

Step 3In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the chocolate until smooth.

Step 4Place melted chocolate in a large bowl. Add milk and egg. Mix well.

Step 5Combine flour and chocolate.

Step 6Mix until combined.

Step 7Spread pie filling in the bottom of the casserole pan.

Step 8Drop the chocolate batter by tablespoons over the filling.

Step 9Sprinkle with nuts.

Step 10Bake 40 minutes.

Step 11The top should be light golden brown.
