Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (heaping)
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter

How To Make peanut butter fingers

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Coat a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, and the 2/3 cup of peanut butter, add eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Blend into creamed mixture, mixing well.
  • Step 3
    Spread into cake pan, batter will be thick so make sure to spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown, cool in pan on wire rack. Meanwhile, mix the powered sugar, cocoa, and remaining peanut butter, adding just enough hot water (a little at a time) to make frosting. Frost when cooled and cut into desired size squares.
