No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies

A childhood favorite, this is fast and easy to do with children. Serve with a tall glass of milk!

  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    (1 stick) butter
  • 1/2 c
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 c
    low-fat milk
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter, smooth or (my favorite) crunchy
  • 3 1/2 c
    quick-cooking oatmeal

How to Make No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies


  1. In a large saucepan, bring sugar, butter, cocoa, milk and salt to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and cook, stirring, as mixture simmers, about 2 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until it melts. Then stir in oatmeal.
  3. Drop from a teaspoon onto wax paper or aluminum foil and let cool completely.

    Store in airtight container for up to a week.
