malteser brownies
This is a recipe that I have made many times for large gatherings, they go very well with ice cream and a warm chocolate sauce. I hope you give them a try. If you can't find maltesers, malt balls are fine.......

Ingredients
- 10 ounces semi sweet baking chocolate
- 1 cup (2 sticks) of butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 - eggs
- 11/2 cups brown sugar
- 11/2 cups maltesers (coursley chopped)
- 1 cup malt powder or ovaltine
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- - pinch of salt
How To Make malteser brownies

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 350o Use a stand mixer with paddle attached or a hand mixer. Place the maltesers in a sealed plastic bag and using a rolling pin or pan bash them until course( Great way to get those frustrations out!!...LOL)

Step 2Melt chocolate & butter over simmering water ( I use a stainless steel bowl over small pot of water) cool slightly and add the vanilla. Set aside

Step 3Beat eggs & sugar untill well combined. Mix flour, baking powder, malt powder and salt

Step 4Add the chocolate mixture to eggs & sugar and mix to combine. Add the crushed maltesers to the dry ingredients and then add to chocolate mixture

Step 5Grease a 9x13 baking pan and pour in batter, bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool in pan and cut into squares. Bet you can't eat just one!!....Enjoy
