I had this while growing up and now as a mom my kids love it. They ask for it all the time, especially on a cold evening.

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoons maizena (corn starch)
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons powdered chocolate of choice (i use ovaltine)
- sugar to taste

How To Make hot chocolate pudding - atole de chocolate

Step 1

Bring 4 cups of milk to a boil.

Step 2

Meanwhile, dissolve the corn starch in the 1/2 cup of cold milk left over.
Step 3

Stir in the cold mixture, chocolate and sugar with the boiling milk and boil for about 2 minutes, stir constantly.
