Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

- 1 3/4 c
- heavy cream
- 3/4 c
- brown sugar, light
- 1/4 c
- butter, cold
- 2 3/4 c
- milk chocolate chips
- 1 pinch
- sea salt
- 1 tsp
- pure vanilla extract
How to Make Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce
- 1In a medium sauce pan, bring the cream just to a boil. Add the sugar and blend until melted.
- 2Add the butter a little at a time until melted, then add the chips. Let them soften before folding into the mixture.
- 3Stir in salt and vanilla until well blended. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
- 4Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Tip: You can sub 1/4 tsp peppermint extract for the vanilla to make mint flavored sauce; 1/2 tsp raspberry or strawberry extract for fruit flavored sauces.
