1 3/4 c
heavy cream
3/4 c
brown sugar, light
1/4 c
butter, cold
2 3/4 c
milk chocolate chips
1 pinch
sea salt
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract

How to Make Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce


  • 1In a medium sauce pan, bring the cream just to a boil. Add the sugar and blend until melted.
  • 2Add the butter a little at a time until melted, then add the chips. Let them soften before folding into the mixture.
  • 3Stir in salt and vanilla until well blended. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • 4Sauce will thicken as it cools.

    Tip: You can sub 1/4 tsp peppermint extract for the vanilla to make mint flavored sauce; 1/2 tsp raspberry or strawberry extract for fruit flavored sauces.
