This is my daughter's fav dessert to make every Thanksgiving & Christmas. It is very rich and sweet. A great treat for the children. It is in the Better Homes and Gardens "Christmas Cooking From The Heart" Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 14 ounces can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make golden-flecked chocolate bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°.

Step 2For crust, in large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium high for 30 seconds. Add butter & salt; beat until combined. Beat flower on low speed until combined.

Step 3Press two-thirds of the crust mixture onto the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Step 4For filling, in a medium saucepan combine sweetened condensed milk & chocolate pieces. Stir over low heat until mixture melts and is smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts & vanilla. Spread mixture over crust. Dot brownies with the remaining crust mixture.

Step 5Bake in 350° oven about 35 minutes or until golden. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into squares.
