  • 1/2 c
    butter unsalted
  • 1 c
  • 1
    egg, well beaten
  • 2
    squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 c
  • ·
    pinch of salt
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder

How to Make Fudge Squares


  1. Cream butter and sugar and add beaten egg. Continue beating, then add chocolate; beat.
    Beat the batter by hand.
  2. Add sifted dry ingredients and nuts, alternating with milk and vanilla.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes in a square greased 8 inch pan. Cool.
  3. Frost with a chocolate frosting.
