Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2/3 cup pecans--chopped
  • 2/3 cup choc. chips
  • 1 box german choc. cake mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 pound butter at room temp
  • 1 pound powdered sugar

How To Make earthquake cake

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle the coconut, pecans and chocolate chips over the bottom of a greased 9 X 12 inch cake pan.
  • Step 2
    Prepare the cake, following the package directions, then pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Step 3
    In a small saucepan, melt the cream cheese with the butter, then stir in the confectioners sugar. Spread over top of the cake batter; spreading topping a little thicker at the edges.
  • Step 4
    Place in a preheated 350F oven and bake for 40-50 minutes
