I found this recipe a long time ago and my family absolutely loves this dessert. It's time consuming but the results are worth it! The chocolate and mint are wonderful together. Just a small portion is all you need to be satisified. I'm always asked for this recipe when I bring it to get togethers.

Ingredients For double chocolate mint dessert
- CAKE LAYER

1 call purpose flour

1 csugar

1/2 cbutter, softened

4eggs

1 1/2 chershey's syrup
- MINT CREAM LAYER

2 cpowdered sugar

1/2 cbutter, softened
-
1 Tbspwater
-
1/2 tspmint extract
-
3 dashgreen food coloring
- CHOCOLATE TOPPING

6 Tbspbutter
-
1 cchocolate chips
-
1/2 tspmint extract
How To Make double chocolate mint dessert

1Cake layer: Heat oven to 350 degrees Grease 9x13 pan

2In large bowl beat all ingredients until smooth

3Pour into pan, bake 25-30 minutes cool completely in pan

4Mint cream layer: in small bowl mix 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1 TBS. water, 1/2 tsp. mint extract and 3 drops of green food coloring. Beat until smooth.

5Spread over cooled cake

6Chocolate topping: in small microwavable bowl melt 6 TBS. butter, 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 tsp. mint extract for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Let mixture cool before pouring onto cream layer.

7Store in the refridgerator
