double chocolate cherry brownies

I love these and when I bring them into work they do not last long. Also a favorite request at barbques! If you like marachino cherries give these a try, the juice gives them a good flavor and they will not dry out like most brownies, the cherries keep them moist along with the chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes brownie mix
  • 1 jar marachino cherries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 package milk chocolate frosting
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How To Make double chocolate cherry brownies

  • Step 1
    Make brownies according to pkg instructions except drain the cherry juice off of the cherries and use the juice as a substitute for the liquid ( milk or water)Chop up the cherries (save some for the frosting) in halves and add them to the brownie mix. Turn half of the mix into the bottom of a long greased pan and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the batter,then cover the chips with the rest of the batter.
  • Step 2
    Cook using heat temperatures and time on the brownie box. Once the brownies have cooled, ice the brownies with milk chocolate frosting and top with remaining cherries, sprinkle nuts on top of the cherries. Yummy!
