  • 3-5 - apples...your fav
  • 2 quarts water, cold
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons flour... divided
  • 3 tablespoons splenda brown sugar...divided
  • 1 tablespoon mix of cinnomoon,nutmeg,cloves,allspice,gingeror to taste
  • 2/3 cup old fashion rolled oats
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 2 jars sugar free carmal ice cream topping
  • 1 package sugar an fat free cool whip
  • 1/2 cup sugar free ice cream

How To Make diabetic carmel apple crisp

  • Step 1
    mix cold water,lemon juice an salt...
  • Step 2
    core and peal apples an slice into water...set aside
  • Step 3
    mix 1T sugar and 1 T flour and spices
  • Step 4
    mix remaining flour and brown sugar with oats combine with cubed buter....mix an stir til like pea size
  • Step 5
    add vailla....mix well
  • Step 6
    add nuts mix well set aside
  • Step 7
    drain apples.... add flour/sugar/spices... toss to coat well... pour into 9 inch pie plate[here add another apple if dish is not at least 2/3 s full]
  • Step 8
    have apples even in pie plate... warm carmel in microwave so it pours easy and pour over apples[use 1 jar]
  • Step 9
    crumble oats over apples
  • Step 10
    bake at 350 for 50 minutes
  • Step 11
    to serve.... divide into 6-8 bowls... put ice cream on it then some cool whip then drizzle more carmel toppin over all ..... then eat and enjoy
