  • 2/3 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2 c
  • 2 c
    gluten free flour
  • 2 tsp
    xanthan gum
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 4
  • 2/3 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    chopped nuts/optional
  • ·
    good chocolate chips make the frosting

How to Make Decadent Brownies / gluten free


  1. In a med. bowl, mix cocoa & sugar thoroughly by hand. Stir in flour. Blend in xanthan gum, baking powder & salt. Mix well.

    In a larger bowl, beat eggs lightly; add vanilla & oil. Mix well with hand mixer.

    Stir in dry ingredients ( you can start off with the mixer, but this gets very, very stiff), so you mix by hand until all is well combined.

    Spread into a greased 13 x 9 pan.
    Bake @ 350 deg. F. for 25-30 min.

    Cool pan on wire rack; while brownies are still warm, sprinkle with chocolate chips and spread like frosting.
