This recipe came from Taste of Home back in 2004. This recipe is so simple that the kids can help. Very yummy.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    semisweet milk chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    peanut butter chips
  • 1 c
    crisp rice cereal
  • 1/2 c
    salted peanuts
  • 1/2 c
    raisins, optional

How to Make Crispy Chocolate Mounds

Step-by-Step

  1. In a microwave or heavy sauce pan, melt chocolate and peanut butter chips; stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in cereal, raisins and peanuts. Drop by tablespoonful onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets. (I omitted the raisins in my recipe.)
  3. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until set.
