The original recipe (which I tore out of a magazine) used honey grahams, lemon pudding, and strawberry Cool Whip. That is the way I prefer it, but since almost everyone I know loves chocolate, I changed it, and it is always a big hit.

Ingredients For creamy chocolate squares

  • 2 pkg
    chocolate graham crackers
  • 3/4 c
    sugar, divided
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 2 pkg
    (8oz. each) cream cheese, softened
  • 3 c
    milk, divided
  • 2 pkg
    (4 serv. size each) jell-o chocolate fudge flavor instant pudding
  • 1
    tub (8oz.) cool whip topping thawed

How To Make creamy chocolate squares

    Crush grahams, then mix with 1/2c. sugar and melted butter until blended. Press onto the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan.

    Beat cream cheese, 1/4c. sugar, and 1/4c. milk until blended. Spread over crust. (Add a little extra milk to make it easier to spread)

    Pour 2 3/4 cups milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes. Blend well. Pour over cream cheese layer. Let stand 5 minutes or until thickened. Cover with whipped topping.

    Refrigerate 4 hours.
