This is such a wonderful and easy dessert. I take it to potluck at church and get rave reviews. You can change it up a bit by adding different flavors of pudding or adding sliced fruit like banana pudding and sliced bananas.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 - eggs
  • 2 packages 3.5 oz instant pudding (any flavor)
  • 3 cups milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces cool whip, thawed
  • - chocolate syrup

How To Make cream puff dessert

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven at 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Boil together the butter and water until the butter is melted. take off heat.
  • Step 3
    Add flour and stir well. Beat in 4 eggs, one at a time. mix well.
  • Step 4
    Spread in a greased (bottom only) 9 by 13 inch pan.
  • Step 5
    Bake @ 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not over bake. cool completely.
  • Step 6
    Add milk and softened cream cheese to pudding mix and beat until well mixed and it starts to thicken. Pour over cooled cream puff crust. Spread coolwhip over pudding mixture. Drizzle with chocolate syrup over top.
  • Step 7
    Refrigerate until set.
