Ingredients

  • 1
    sleeve saltine crackers(about 40 crackers)
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 12 oz
    bag of chocolate chips
  • ·
    nuts or sprinkles for topping

How to Make Christmas Cracker Toffee

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.line cookie sheet with foil and sray with oil.
  2. Cover cookie sheet with one layer of saltines. In saucepan over medium heat bring butter and brown sugar to a boil. Stirring continuously for about 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Pour over crackers evenly and bake for 6 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven sprinkle warm crackers with chocolate chips.
  5. Allow chocolate to soften then spread chocolate evenly on top of crackers. Sprinkle with nuts or holiday sprinkles. Cool. Break apart.
