How to Make Chocolate Syrup
- In a medium tall sided sauce pan place water and cocoa powder over med heat and stir to fully incorporate the coca powder into the water.
- Once water and coca are mixed add in sugar and stir until sugar has dissolved.
- WATCHING VERY VERY CLOSELY let mixture come to a boil and then turn heat down to maintain a rapid simmer. WATCH OUT FOR BOIL OVER. Let cook for 10 mins stirring often.
- After 10 mins remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Now for the really hard part. Let cool to room temp and then place in a bottle (I use an old chocolate syrup bottle)and store in fridge.
