Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 can 16 oz. chocolate syrup about 1-1/2 cups
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup all - purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
How To Make chocolate syrup brownies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350°F Grease 13x9x2 - inch baking pan. In large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add Syrup, eggs and flour; beat well. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sided of the pan. Cool Completely. Frost with chocolate frosting and cut into bars.

Step 2Chocolate Frosting: In a 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl. Add vanilla and beat with an electric mixer until thick enough to spread. approximately 10 minutes. Yields 2-1/4 cups frosting.
