These tempting chocolate brownies have a mild chocolate flavor. They are very easy to prepare, yet specially delicious.

butter
1 c
sugar

1 dash(es)
salt
1 c
all purpose flour
3/4 c
chocolate-flavored syrup, canned
2 tsp
vanilla extract
3/4 c
chopped walnuts or pecans

GARNISH

pecans or walnuts
powdered sugar

How to Make Chocolate Syrup Brownies (oven version)

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2In a bowl, cream together butter, sugar and eggs until very creamy and well blended.
  • 3Add salt.
  • 4Stir in flour, mixing to blend well.
  • 5Add chocolate syrup, vanilla and chopped nuts.
  • 6Turn mixture into well greased and lightly floured 9-inch square pan.
  • 7Smooth top.
  • 8Bake at 350 degrees F for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
  • 9Cool in pan on wire rack but loosen cake at edges.
  • 10Cut into squares.
  • 11Garnish with pecan or walnut halves or dust with powdered sugar.
