chocolate mint squares
I use Jacquin's Glaciale CREME DE MENTHE. You can us mint oil if you prefer. These are always a big hit. This is a recipe I have made for years. It was given to me by a friend.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 6 oz. - can chocolate syrup
- MINT LAYER:
- 2 cups 10x sugar (powdered sugar)
- 2 - 4 tablespoons creme de menthe or mint oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- GLAZE:
- 6 oz. - package chocolate chips
- 6 tablespoons butter
How To Make chocolate mint squares

Step 1Mix first 7 ingredients and pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan

Step 2Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

Step 3Mix mint layer and pour over cooled cake

Step 4Melt glaze ingredients together in a sauce pan until smooth and spread over mint layer and let cool

Step 5Chill in refrigerator until set.

Step 6Remove from refrigerator and cut into disired squares.
