This recipe was given to me by a friend in the newcomers club. I like it a lot. I think you will like it too!

yield makes enough to frost a 2 layer cake or a 9x13 inch pan cake

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces bag semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 ounces container dairy sour cream
  • 1 box powdered sugar=1 pound

How To Make chocolate icing

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan combine the chips and butter and heat over low heat until melted, stirring so it doesn't stick or burn. Remover from heat and cool for about 5 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, beating the heck out of it on medium speed until mixture is smooth.
