5 oz
milk chocolate
5 oz
semisweet chocolate
1/2 c
golden syrup or light corn syrup
1 stick
unsalted butter
1/2 c
raisins (optional)
3/4 c

How to Make Chocolate Fridge Cake

  • 1Use plastic wrap to line an 8-in square pan. Leave extra plastic wrap hanging over the sides.
  • 2Break the crackers into pieces with a rolling pin (if you have actual crackers and not crushed).
  • 3Melt chocolate, butter, and syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water on the stove. Stir until melted.
  • 4Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the broken crackers, apricots, raisins and pecans.
  • 5Allow to cool then put the chocolate mixture in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours to set.
  • 6Turn out the cake and peel off the plastic wrap. Cut the cake into 12 squares and enjoy!
