- 1/2 cup golden syrup or light corn syrup
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 3/4 cup dried apricots (or other dried fruit) optional

How To Make chocolate fridge cake
-
Step 1Use plastic wrap to line an 8-in square pan. Leave extra plastic wrap hanging over the sides.
-
Step 2Break the crackers into pieces with a rolling pin (if you have actual crackers and not crushed).
-
Step 3Melt chocolate, butter, and syrup in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water on the stove. Stir until melted.
-
Step 4Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the broken crackers, apricots, raisins and pecans.
-
Step 5Allow to cool then put the chocolate mixture in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours to set.
-
Step 6Turn out the cake and peel off the plastic wrap. Cut the cake into 12 squares and enjoy!
