chocolate ecstasy (can be made gluten free)
(1 RATING)
I used to make this a lot for my roommate and his friends. One Thanksgiving, neither of us was going home, so we did a turkey dinner. We had about seven guests for dinner but the phone was ringing off the hook. When dinner was over, more people walked in. We had 13 guests for dessert!! They had been calling all day to find out if I was making this dish!! LOL!!! The whole pan was cleaned out in a matter of minutes!!

How To Make chocolate ecstasy (can be made gluten free)
-
Step 1Make your favorite brownies and let them cool completely.
-
Step 2When brownies are cool, make up pudding and let that set a few minutes; you want it soft-set for the assembly process.
-
Step 3Crumble half of the brownies into a serving dish-something with fairly deep sides (I use my 9-13 glass baking pan). Spread them out evenly.
-
Step 4Cover with a layer of pudding.
-
Step 5Sprinkle the toffee bits over the pudding.
-
Step 6Repeat steps 3,4, and 5. Refrigerate for at least an hour to let pudding set up and saturate the brownies.
-
Step 7Serve with whipped cream.
-
Step 8The original recipe called for individual dessert dishes, but who has time? I have swapped out variety toppings, but avoid using cookies (mushy Oreos were very disappointing).
