My mom had made this dessert for years but she used instant pecan pudding which isn't available anymore. This is very versatile, you can use any flavor of pudding you prefer (it's really good with lemon pudding)and whatever nuts you like best.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 large container cool whip
  • 2 small boxes of instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts

How To Make chocolate delight

  • Step 1
    First layer - Combine flour and butter and work like pie crust and then mix chopped nuts into the dough. Press in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Step 2
    Second layer - Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with mixer until combined. Fold in one cup of Cool Whip. Spread mixture over cooled crust.
  • Step 3
    Third layer - Mix chocolate instant pudding and milk until thickened. Spread over cream cheese layer.
  • Step 4
    Fourth layer - Spread Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
