This is a recipe shared to me about 25 yrs ago. I do miss this friend she moved back to her home town and now I don't see or here much from her but she is a great southern cook. She called it Mechanics Delight and said when you make it and pass it on you can call it what ever job title your husband is. I promise this is simple and easy to make and you will want to keep it and make over and over. It will be a big hit to cholocate lovers. Try for Valentines day if you are preparing a dessert for husband or children.
Crust: Melt the butter mix in flour, sugar, and chopped nuts. Bake in a 9 x 13 dish for 20 minutes set aside You will need to press firmly down in the dish with the palm of your hand it will smooth down around the bottom don't worry just keep pressing and filling in the cracks. Let crust be very cool before filling I placed mine in the freezer about 5 minutes to get cold. Do not freeze
Filling: Mix the filling ingredients together and pour into the crust
Topping: Mix the pudding mix together with the milk and beat until thickened. Pour over the second layer
Finish off with the rest of the cool whip. Refrigerate until cold and set.
