I always like to have a few cookies or crackers when I have to drive any distance and decided to make this bar as I had all the ingredients in the cupboard.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    maple syrup
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    peanut butter
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    cream
  • 1 c
    whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 2 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2c c
    rice rip cereal
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate or butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 c
    dry cranberries
  • 1/4 c
    nuts your chouce

How to Make Chocolate Cranberry Granola Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. .In large bowl combine the first 6 ingredients..mix well. combine the flour, oats in another bowl ..whisk the egg until frothy add these to the other bowl and stir until well combined..add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.
  2. Grease a 9 x 13 pan press the mixture bake in a 350F oven and bake for 20 minutes,
  3. While still hot, score the surface of the bars with shallow cuts..cool completely..remove from pan and cut into bars along the scored surface, yield 2 dozen.
