I currently live in Mexico and after discovering how expensive certain ingredients are began letting out my experimental side. These came out amazing!!! I had made rice krispy treats before with corn flakes and chocolate chips but this time I was thrown off by the fact that all mexican stores sell marshmallows in bags with both white and pink marshmallows--the pink ones being strawberry flavored. I was leery at first and actually made two separate batches, but everyone loved the strawberry ones best!!!
1Melt the butter and add the marshmallows to melt, stirring constantly and watching to not burn(my marshmallows were slightly big so I tore them into smaller pieces so they would melt more quickly)
**Note** You may decide you need more butter. Depends on what heat you melt them at and how well you watch them. I personally don't care too much for butter so just keep a good watch on it
***Other note*** If you cannot find strawberry flavored marshmallows try a mexican store or just get regular marshmallows and add a teaspoon of strawberry extract or flavoring
2Once melted and smooth, remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and then the corn flakes. Work quickly!!!!!
