chocolate-covered strawberry cereal treats

I currently live in Mexico and after discovering how expensive certain ingredients are began letting out my experimental side. These came out amazing!!! I had made rice krispy treats before with corn flakes and chocolate chips but this time I was thrown off by the fact that all mexican stores sell marshmallows in bags with both white and pink marshmallows--the pink ones being strawberry flavored. I was leery at first and actually made two separate batches, but everyone loved the strawberry ones best!!!

Ingredients
- 1 box corn flakes
- 1 package marshmallows (normal and strawberry flavored)
- 1/3 cup butter or margarine
- 12 ounces chocolate chips, mini
How To Make chocolate-covered strawberry cereal treats

Step 1Melt the butter and add the marshmallows to melt, stirring constantly and watching to not burn(my marshmallows were slightly big so I tore them into smaller pieces so they would melt more quickly) **Note** You may decide you need more butter. Depends on what heat you melt them at and how well you watch them. I personally don't care too much for butter so just keep a good watch on it ***Other note*** If you cannot find strawberry flavored marshmallows try a mexican store or just get regular marshmallows and add a teaspoon of strawberry extract or flavoring

Step 2Once melted and smooth, remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and then the corn flakes. Work quickly!!!!!
