Ingredients

  • 1 c
    active sourdough starter
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2` tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 box
    chocolate pudding
  • 1 pkg
    craisins, or other dried fruit
  • 1/2 pkg
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1
    recipe, struessel topping
  • STRUESSEL TOPPING

  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/4` c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How to Make Chocolate Covered Craisin Sourdough Muffins

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325 and prepare muffin papers in muffin pans
  2. Mix all ingredients together for muffins. Fill muffin papers half full.
  3. Mix struessel topping together until it forms loose crumbs, if it clumps, add small amounts of flour until the crumb forms. Top muffins with struessel.
  4. Bake muffins in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow muffins to cool in pans 10 minutes and remove to wire rack.
  6. Variations can include different fresh or dried fruits, other types of chips and flavors of pudding. Vanilla pudding, white chocolate chips and dried cherries would be YUMMY!
