1 c
active sourdough starter
3
eggs
1 c
oil
1/2 c
milk
1 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
vanilla
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2` tsp
baking soda
2 c
flour
1 box
chocolate pudding
1 pkg
craisins, or other dried fruit
1/2 pkg
semi-sweet chocolate chips
1
recipe, struessel topping

STRUESSEL TOPPING

1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
flour
1/4` c
butter
1 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Chocolate Covered Craisin Sourdough Muffins

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 325 and prepare muffin papers in muffin pans
  • 2Mix all ingredients together for muffins. Fill muffin papers half full.
  • 3Mix struessel topping together until it forms loose crumbs, if it clumps, add small amounts of flour until the crumb forms. Top muffins with struessel.
  • 4Bake muffins in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 5Allow muffins to cool in pans 10 minutes and remove to wire rack.
  • 6Variations can include different fresh or dried fruits, other types of chips and flavors of pudding. Vanilla pudding, white chocolate chips and dried cherries would be YUMMY!
