Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
- 7 tablespoons cocoa, divided
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups very hot water (may only need 1 1/4)
How To Make chocolate cobbler

Step 1Set oven to 350. Stir together ¾ c. sugar, flour, 3 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt.

Step 2Stir in milk, butter and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Pour batter into an 8" square glass pan.

Step 3Mix ½ c. sugar, brown sugar, and 4 T. cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter.

Step 4Pour hot water over top. Do not stir.

Step 5Bake 35 to 40 min or until center is almost set. Let stand 15 min.

Step 6Can use chocolate syrup from bottom of dessert to spoon over servings. Serve with ice cream.
