This is like having a ooey, gooey, chocolate brownie that didn't quite finish cooking in the center.. Yumminess!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar, divided
  • 7 tablespoons cocoa, divided
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups very hot water (may only need 1 1/4)

How To Make chocolate cobbler

  • Step 1
    Set oven to 350. Stir together ¾ c. sugar, flour, 3 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 2
    Stir in milk, butter and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Pour batter into an 8" square glass pan.
  • Step 3
    Mix ½ c. sugar, brown sugar, and 4 T. cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
  • Step 4
    Pour hot water over top. Do not stir.
  • Step 5
    Bake 35 to 40 min or until center is almost set. Let stand 15 min.
  • Step 6
    Can use chocolate syrup from bottom of dessert to spoon over servings. Serve with ice cream.
