butter, cold
1 1/4 c
1 1/2 c
self rising flour
1 tsp
vanilla extract
3/4 c


1 c
6 Tbsp
cocoa powder
2 c
boiling water

How to Make Chocolate Cobbler


  • 1Preheat oven to 350. In 9x13 glass baking dish, melt the two sticks of butter in the oven.
  • 2meanwhile, in a bowl mix together 1 1/4 cups of sugar, flour, vanilla and milk. Once butter is melted pour the batter over the butter. DO NOT STIR
  • 3in separate bowl mix together the cocoa and remaining sugar.
  • 4Sprinkle cocoa/sugar mixture on top of batter. DO NOT STIR
  • 5Pour the 2 cups boiing water on top of cocoa/sugar mixture (do not stir) bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
    until golden brown crust. Serve warm with or without Ice Cream (Great)
