Better than Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, cold
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • CHOCOLATE LAYER
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 cups boiling water

How To Make chocolate cobbler

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. In 9x13 glass baking dish, melt the two sticks of butter in the oven.
  • Step 2
    meanwhile, in a bowl mix together 1 1/4 cups of sugar, flour, vanilla and milk. Once butter is melted pour the batter over the butter. DO NOT STIR
  • Step 3
    in separate bowl mix together the cocoa and remaining sugar.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle cocoa/sugar mixture on top of batter. DO NOT STIR
  • Step 5
    Pour the 2 cups boiing water on top of cocoa/sugar mixture (do not stir) bake for 30 to 45 minutes. until golden brown crust. Serve warm with or without Ice Cream (Great)
