chocolate chip banana bread

A family favorite. My mom used to make this when I was a kid and every time she turned her back I would sneak another slice. It's best warm with some butter or margarine.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about three large, and a little tip is freezing the bananas until they're black. easier to mash and sweeter.)
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make chocolate chip banana bread

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 325. generously grease one 9x5 loaf pan or two smaller loaf pans.
  • Step 2
    in a medium bowl, stir flour, baking soda, salt. set aside.
  • Step 3
    in a large bowl at medium speed, beat sugar, oil, bananas, and eggs until well blended.
  • Step 4
    at low speed, beat in flour mixture until just blended.
  • Step 5
    stir in chocolate chip and pour into loaf pan(s).
  • Step 6
    bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step 7
    cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
  • Step 8
    enjoy! =]
