Microwave setting: HIGH 100%/MEDIUM HIGH 70% Microwave cooking time: about 12 min. Remember: You may melt chocolate in a microwave oven in a measuring cup or other microsafe dish. But remember that chocolate burns easily. Always use low power, 50%.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated orange or lemon peel
- FILLING
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- TOPPING
- 3 - eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice or 3 tbsp. orange juice
- 1 tablespoon grated orange or lemon peel
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- - powdered sugar, for garnish
How To Make chocolate bars (microwave version)

Step 1Combine flour, baking powder, powdered sugar and orange or lemon peel in a bowl.

Step 2Add butter. Blend with hands until mixture resembles cornmeal. You may do this in a food processor - process until mixture forms a soft ball.

Step 3Press mixture evenly over bottom of a microsafe baking dish. Place dish on a microsafe meat rack or on a microsafe platter.

Step 4Microwave for 4 minutes at HIGH power. Remove from microwave oven.

Step 5Sprinkle chocolate chips all over hot crust. As chocolate melts, spread evenly over pastry.

Step 6Combine all remaining ingredients in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Pour mixture over chocolate layer.

Step 7Microwave for about 8 minutes at MEDIUM HIGH power, turning dish once if your microwave is not a rotating one.

Step 8Let cake stand for a few minutes. Cool in pan. Dust with powdered sugar. Cut into bars or thin wedges depending on dish used.
