chocolate banana nut bread
Took a Banana bread recipe from my old church cook book and added the nuts and cocoa. Then drizzled with icing.

Ingredients
- BANANA BREAD. PREHEAT OVEN ON 325 DEGREES
- 1/2 cup crisco shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups plain sifted flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 - ripe banana
- 1/2 cup nuts
- GLAZE
- 1 stick butter
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
How To Make chocolate banana nut bread

Step 1Mix the crisco, eggs and sugar together until smooth. Add the flour and blend then add in the salt, soda , cocoa and mix. Mash the banana with a fork

Step 2Add in the bananas and nuts mix well and pour into the well greased loaf pan.

Step 3Bake 60 min.on 325 degrees check to make sure not over cooked about 50 min then turn out on a plate.

Step 4In sauce pan heat the butter then add sugar, milk, vanilla and chips. Let melt and stir till melted like a suace. Pour over the bread while still hot.
