Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons crisco butter flavor shortening
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 packages ( 6 oz each ) pecan halves ( 4 cups )
How To Make sugared pecan halves

Step 1In a 2-quart saucepan combine sugar, orange juice, CRISCO shortening, corn syrup, cinnamon & cloves. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, to 240 on a candy thermometer. Stir in pecans. Pour onto greased baking sheet, spreading to a thin layer. Cook completely. Break to separate nuts.
