It is the time of the year that all of the fall recipes start appearing. Pumpkin is one of my favorite fruits or is it a vegetable? The food we make during the fall is some of my favorite. We always have family and friends stopping by and visiting and for these times you can bring out the pumpkin fudge.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 can 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup solid pack pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 12 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make spiced pumpkin pecan and fudge

  • Step 1
    In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk, pumpkin and spice.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 234 degrees on a candy thermometer or about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in butterscotch morsels.
  • Step 3
    Add marshmallow creme, nuts and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  • Step 4
    Quickly pour into greased 13 x 9 inch pan, spreading just until even.
  • Step 5
    Cool at room temperature, and cut into sqaures. Store in a container in the fridge.
