My mom made these treats for us when we were children. I have made them many times over the years for family, friends, bake sales, etc. They have always been enjoyed by all. When I make them, it makes me think about my mom in the kitchen.

Ingredients

1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
4 cups special k cereal, no substitutes

How To Make special k treats

Step 1

In saucepan, combine syrup and sugar.

Step 2

Cook until bubbly all around, but do not boil hard.
Step 3

Add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
Step 4

Add cereal and mix together until all cereal is coated well with syrup mixture.
Step 5

Drop by tablespoon onto wax paper and let cool.
