This tastes so much like the salted nut rolls you can buy in the store.

Ingredients

  • 1 - yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup, light
  • 1 - 10 oz. packages miniature marshmallows
  • 2 cups rice krispie cereal
  • 1 1/2 packages reese's peanut butter chips
  • 2 1/2 cups cocktail peanuts

How To Make salted nut roll

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven (350 degrees). Combine cake mix, egg & 2/3 cup butter. Pat into a lg. jellyroll pan (or cookie sheet with a lip). Bake 12 min. Remove from oven and add marshmallows on top. Bake 1 - 2 min. more until melted, (don't try to smooth them out as it doesn't work).
  • Step 2
    Melt together peanut butter chips, the 1/4 cup butter, vanilla and corn syrup in lg. microwave bowl preferably. Add Rice Krispies and peanuts. Pour over the marshmallow/cake layer. Cool and cut into bars. Enjoy
