salted nut bars

I had these at my daughters one christmas and asked for the recipe. we love them year round.:)

yield 36 or one big candy binge :) :):)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups mixed nuts
  • 1 cup corn syrup, light
  • 4 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 12 ounces butterscotch chips
  • 2 tablespoons water

How To Make salted nut bars

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 cup of butter. Blend well. Press into an ungreased 15x10 jelly roll pan. Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Remove from oven and sprinkle nuts over crust. set aside.
  • Step 3
    Combine syrup, butter, water and butterscotch chips in pan, Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over nuts. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes more. Cool. and cut into bars. enjoy. xoxoxo
