razzled dazzled nuts !

This is an easy, unusual and wonderful recipe for snacking! We have this for watching movies, sporting events and parties. The zing of the flavor combinations is just incredible! I dedicate this recipe to my cousin Harry Salzer.... He was a unique and very loving person who always wanted to be Razzled or Dazzled by all things in life! Miss you Harry! xo

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white (beaten until very frothy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon each: lemon and orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon each: lemon and orange juice
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 cups whole pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 package (4 ounces) cherry raisinets
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 package (5 ounces) brach's almond supremes (chocolate covered almonds)

How To Make razzled dazzled nuts !

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spay cookie sheet with cooking spray, set aside until needed.
  • Step 2
    Finely grate the lemon and orange zest.
  • Step 3
    Beat egg white until very frothy. Add the lemon and orange juices and zests along with the brown sugar and sea salt.
  • Step 4
    Add the pecans and stir and coat well. Place on coated cookie sheet. Place in oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Stir the nuts around in cookie sheet while baking at least 4-5 times. Remove from oven, sprinkle with peppers. Let cool completely.
  • Step 5
    Pour into a bowl and add remaining ingredients, stirring gently. Serve or place in airtight container until ready to serve.
