With the holidays coming, this is requested by my kids. Their grandmother used to send it in the Christmas box she sent every year. When they got older she passed the recipe down to me.

Ingredients

9 cups chex cereal (i usually do rice and corn chex
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter(i use creamy)
1/4 cup butter or margerine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

How To Make puppy chow(made w/chex cereal)

Step 1

In a quart microwavable bowl, stir together chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Heat uncovered on High 1 minute; stir; Heat another 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.

Step 2

Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. You have to work fast before chocolate hardens. Pour into a 2 gallon resealable food storage plastic bag.
Step 3

Add powdered sugar, seal bag, shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. It won't last long, at least not in our house.
