puppy chow
A sweet treat that I always made for my kids and now my granddaughter loves it too! I usually make it with Crispix cereal, but any flavor of Chex can be used instead. Called Puppy Chow because it resembles the slightly powdery look of real puppy chow dog food.

Ingredients
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 box crispix or chex (any flavor) cereal 12-14 oz
- 3-4 cups confectioners' sugar
How To Make puppy chow

Step 1Melt chocolate, peanut butter, & margarine in a pan. Stir until smooth. -
Step 2Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in large bowl. Stir until cereal is well coated.

Step 3Put some sugar into a gallon ziploc bag, spoon some cereal mixture into the bag and then shake until cereal is well coated in powdered sugar. Put on wax paper covered cookie sheets until completely cooled (this won't take long). Repeat steps with the bag until all cereal mixture has been coated with powdered sugar.
