These truffles are addictive! Feel free to experiment with different candies and extracts (root beer, lemon, raspberry)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • - peppermint extract
  • - candy canes, crushed

How To Make peppermint truffles

  • Step 1
    Bring the cream and sugar to a boil over low heat, pour over the chocolate and stir until smooth to make a ganache.
  • Step 2
    Add 1-2 drops of peppermint extract to the ganache and stir to combine.
  • Step 3
    Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Step 4
    Roll into walnut-sized balls and roll in crushed candies. Chill until ready to serve.
