Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    peppermint extract
  • 4 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp
    shortening

How to Make Peppermint Patties

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl mix first three ingredients, until incorporated and stiff, Roll into 1 inch balls on wax paper, and flatten let dry at room temperature for 2-4 hours turning once.
  2. Over low heat melt chocolate and shortening, brush patties with chocolate let dry turn over and repeat.
