OMG!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE These!!!
I keep them in the fridge for that cold and minty goodness!! I think they are better then Yorks!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • 4 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp
    shortening

How to Make Peppermint Patties

Step-by-Step

  1. In a lg. mixing bowl, combine condensed milk & peppermint extract. Beat in enough confectioners sugar, a little at a time, to form stiff dough that is no longer sticky.
  2. Form into 1" balls, then place on waxed paper and flatten with fingers to form "patties". Place in Freezer for 1 hour.
  3. In med. saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate with shortening stirring often. Remove from heat. Dip patties, one at a time into chocolate by laying them on the tines of a fork and lowering fork into the liquid.
  4. place back on wax paper and put in fridge to let chocolate set.
