OMG!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE These!!! I keep them in the fridge for that cold and minty goodness!! I think they are better then Yorks!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons shortening

How To Make peppermint patties

  • Step 1
    In a lg. mixing bowl, combine condensed milk & peppermint extract. Beat in enough confectioners sugar, a little at a time, to form stiff dough that is no longer sticky.
  • Step 2
    Form into 1" balls, then place on waxed paper and flatten with fingers to form "patties". Place in Freezer for 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    In med. saucepan, over low heat, melt chocolate with shortening stirring often. Remove from heat. Dip patties, one at a time into chocolate by laying them on the tines of a fork and lowering fork into the liquid.
  • Step 4
    place back on wax paper and put in fridge to let chocolate set.
