I made this dessert last Thanksgiving and it was definitely a hit! These will replace my usual Pecan pies at my Thanksgiving table every year from now on. They are scrumptious!

Ingredients

2 c
all purpose flour
2/3 c
powdered sugar
3/4 c
of butter, softened
1/2 c
brown sugar, packed
1/2 c
honey
2/3 c
butter
3 Tbsp
whipping cream
3 1/2 c
coursely chopped pecans

How to Make Pecan Squares

Step-by-Step

  • 1Sift together two cups of flour and 2/3 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2Cut in 3/4 cup of softened butter using a pastry blender or a fork just until mixture resembles course meal.
  • 3Pat mixture into bottom and sides of a lightly greased 13 X 9 inch baking dish
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and let cool
  • 5Bring brown sugar, honey 2/3 cup of butter and whipping cream to a boil in a saucepan over medium high heat. Stir in pecans and pour hot filling into prepared crust.
  • 6Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly
  • 7Cool completely and cut into 2 inch squares.
